Basingstoke, 1941. The blackout curtains are drawn, the wireless is tuned for the evening news, and tonight the whole town has turned out for a concert in the park, a bit of music to keep spirits up, because heaven knows everyone could use it.

But somewhere in the shadows behind the bandstand, someone has other plans.

Before the first note has even sounded, the town's most notorious gossip will be dead, and it seems almost everyone on the street, from the toy shop to the garage forecourt, has a secret worth keeping quiet. Rationed sugar. Borrowed petrol. A past that won't stay buried. On a night like this, careless talk costs a great deal more than lives.

This midsummer, step back into 1941 for an evening of wartime intrigue at Milestones Museum. Mingle with the suspects. Follow the clues. Decide who you trust; because on this street, everybody's hiding something, and one of them is a murderer.
