We are very excited to announce that a brand new adaptation of The Reluctant Widow by Georgette Heyer will be produced for Wymering Manor this Summer.
For those less familiar, Elinor Rochdale, our heroine, steps into the wrong carriage, and is swept up in a thrilling and dangerous adventure. By midnight she is a bride, by dawn a widow. Set in 1813, Arthur Wellesley is in the peninsula, it’s a pivotal moment in the campaign, and an important memorandum has gone missing. Overnight this would be governess becomes mistress of a ruined estate and partner in a secret conspiracy to save a family’s name.
The adaptation site specific to Wymering Manor - the South's most haunted building, ideally suits the house in the centre of the intriguing mystery.
